Instructions for turning the Macro tool on for Microsoft Excel

In Microsoft Excel and other programs, a macro is a saved sequence of commands or keyboard strokes that can be stored and then recalled with a single command or keyboard stroke. In other words, it allows you to enter information into spaces provided within the document and will automatically add numbers to total boxes and fills in blanks for you, so all that all you will need to do is fill in the blanks and the Microsoft program will do everything else for you.

  1. You first will need to go to your Start Menu and choose All Programs. Next you will need to find the Microsoft Office Folder from the All Programs list. Now click on the Microsoft Excel folder you will get another window for Microsoft Office where you will need to click on Microsoft Excel. This will open Microsoft Excel.


  2. Now that you have opened Microsoft Excel you will need to find the Tools option from the menu at the top of window and click on it. From the drop down list choose Maco and that will give you another window where you will click Security.


  3. Now you should have the Security window open. You will need to choose the Security Level tab. From here you need to check Medium and then click OK.


When you have given Microsoft Excel permission to use Macro's you will need to go to the internet where you be able to utilize this option. Once you have reached the internet again open an Excel document that will use macro's and you will recieve the message below.


In this window you will need to click the Enable Macro's button. Now you will be able to utilize the macro tool for Microsoft Excel.
