Open Enrollment

The 2018 plan year open enrollment period begins Monday October 16, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. and ends Friday, November 10, 2017 at 6 p.m. Open enrollment is a special period when changes to pre-tax employee benefits can be made. Any changes made during open enrollment will be effective January 1, 2018. As always, we encourage all employees to carefully review their current benefits elections and consider making changes for next year.

People First, our third party benefits administrator has mailed out a personalized benefits statement and an Open Enrollment Summary documents. Key dates to remember:

  • Open Enrollment October 16th - November 10th, 2017
  • Correction Period November 11th, 2017 - November 17th, 2017

The Department of Management Services (DMS) has detailed information, including cost-estimator tools posted on the myBenefits web page: http://mybenefits.myflorida.com.

Employees have two ways to enroll in or make changes to benefits during Open Enrollment:

  • Online: To make changes online, visit the People First  web page. The People First  web page is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Phone: To make changes over the phone, call the People First Service Center at (866)663-4735. The People First Service Center is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
