The Financial Services group within JAC functions as the financial support system for JAC internally, the 49 offices administratively served by JAC, and the court-appointed payment processing “arm” of JAC. The five staff members of Financial Services are in many ways the backbone of the financial structure and financial reporting of JAC.
Financial Services staff support the JAC Executive Director in managing the administrative budget and costs for JAC. In addition, Financial Services reconciles monthly (and annually) with the Department of Financial Services (DFS) FLAIR Central Accounting System which entails comparing the financial data of the 50 offices under the JAC “umbrella” with FLAIR Central Accounting to ensure that all transactions are accounted for in each database.
Finally, the Financial Services group provides statutorily required financial reports to the legislature and other stakeholders as well as numerous other special reports and ad hoc reports as requested. In addition, Financial Services provides support and reporting for the court-appointed payment processing within JAC with regular reporting and ad hoc reporting.
